Extensions ‘Large or small, single or double storey’
Extending your home will not only give you more space to live in, it may also increase the value of your property. We can Project Manage all types of House Extensions including garages and conservatories.
We have affiliated architects who can come up with various designs for your house extension. We can also gain the necessary planning permission and liaise with building control on your behalf. If you already have the design and people in place we are more than happy to work with them throughout the project.
We offer a complete service to ensure your home extension is completed on time and to budget with a project manager to oversee and ensure everything goes according to plan.
We also offer all other building services that are involved when extending your home, including bathroom and kitchen fitting, plastering, tiling, painting, decorating and floor laying.
We take into consideration all aspects of work and can offer solutions for the practical elements you don’t see, like whole house insulation, heat recovery and ventilation. All our installers are BPEC approved (competent persons scheme).
Depending on the size and type of your extension, costs in the design will vary considerably. If you need to knock down an exterior wall to extend the property you will require a structural engineer to calculate the size of RSJ (which is the beam supporting the wall across the new gap). A quantity surveyor is needed to work out the cost of the beam itself, as with architects we can recommend quantity surveys/ structural engineers.
Beware as sometimes development plans may be forced to change when things occur or are discovered after the work has begun. It is advisable to set aside some emergency funds in case extra costs emerge. Should additional works emerge which involve extra costs we will make you fully aware as to what these are and will only proceed when you are happy with the proposed way forward.
Sun Lounges, Conservatories and Sun Rooms
Sun Lounges, Conservatories, Sun Rooms allow you to bring the outside in without the rain, breezes or winds that can spoil your enjoyment.
A conservatory/sun lounge will extend your enjoyment of the garden throughout the year, letting you enjoy springtime even on chilly days and also cool autumn evenings from a warm environment.
Conservatories are a great family room and can be a playroom for young children, a great dining area, or simply the perfect place to relax and unwind.
MS All Trades will create a Conservatory that will be better built and will last for many years to come.
Conservatory extensions add value, space and allow you to relax and enjoy your home.
We also offer many other building services from kitchen fitting to bathroom fitting and much more.
In order to have your Planning Permission and Building Regulations approval granted, your extension should blend into the existing property and the surrounding neighbourhood. Similar materials should be used where possible, and the design should be kept to the same scale and character. Any additional details like decorative effects or windows should also reflect the existing nature of the property. It is important that the extension does not overtake the property and dominate its appearance.
Nor should the proposed extension affect any neighbouring properties. It should not reduce your neighbour’s privacy or daylight, and should not obstruct or dominate their view.
Glass roofs with aluminium struts which may be used when extending your home make the most use of natural light. All the glass we install is made to the highest specification and ‘U’ values, ensuring your home is well insulated in the winter months and will also be environmentally friendly, reducing your energy bills.
We can also install under-floor heating in bathrooms and floor areas as required in these extensions if required during the build process.
